Anna Helmers-Dieleman was educated in English at Utrecht University, with specializations in education and music. After her studies, she taught academic skills courses and worked for Oxford University Press.
Anna started working as an independent translator in 2014, and in 2018 she completed a two-year course on literary translation (VertalersVakschool, Amsterdam). She translates texts in the fields of education, publishing, culture and marketing, and she translates books. Thanks to a grant from the Centre of Expertise for Literary Translation (ELV) in Utrecht, she is currently working on a translation of Fran Ross's novel Oreo.
